Your father has some very valid points.
My ancestors came here (U.S.) just after the turn of the last century (1900). They worked to adapt to this country's customs as best they could while still retaining some of the traditions from their homeland. It is not unreasonable to expect new immigrants to have the same goals and values.
But there are lots of immigrants who come to the U.S. and other countries (many illegally) who are nothing but a burden. They don't try to learn and expect the taxpayers to support them all their lives.
That being said - If those people (who happen to be Muslim) are in the country legally or were born there then your father, in not hiring them, is breaking laws.

My family immigrated from Poland when my grandfather was 8. They assimilated, worked hard and yes, got things from this country. That's what immigrants do. We ALL came from somewhere else, even the "natives" immigrated. America is the beacon of freedom, that's why they come. If you or your father discriminates on the basis of cultural leanings or religion, you are violating the very things that American's have stood for, for all of our history.
