I dont about being favorite, but "For My Brokenheart"..by Reba McEntire (1987) is the ultimate break up song. It was out the exact month and year of my divorce and the words were exact to my situation as though someone was there just writing the song especially for me. It was just eerie and so very sad. That song to this day still makes me cry and I'm not crying over my ex, so I guess its just the song is so profoundly affected me. Download it from Limewire or site of choice and listen to the words, here is my favorite lines from it.....
