Anthony Robert Lewis, (Tony Lewis), born on 6th July 1938 in Swansea, is the only Welsh cricketer, to Captain England Cricket Team.
Lewis made his test debut against India as Captain of England Team in the 1st Test of 1972/73 series between India and England played at Feroz Kotla Ground, Delhi from 20th to 25th December, 1972. He was the last man to captain England on Test debut. He went on to captain England a total of eight times, winning only once, losing twice and drawing five times.
