I've never had to wear glasses, but just a few years ago, I noticed I was having a hard time focusing...when I was reading or looking at something close and then looked up to see something far away...everything was blurry and vise versa. So, I went to the eye doctor and he said I didn't need perscription eye glasses, I asked "really??...then what's wrong with my eyes?" He said..."your at that age.....your eyes will never be the way they were when you were young" At that moment, I realized...Dang.....I'm getting old!! :(. I only use reading glasses I bought at Walgreens...especially when I read the newspaper....that print is so darn small!!

I don't wear either , but If I had to I would probably choose the glasses , because the contacts require cleaning , disinfecting , storing , not to mention they cause redness and discomfort ( well most of them do ) , whether you're asleep or awake and they have a higher probability of getting an infection ( not that glasses don't , it's just like I said ' they have a higher percentage or probability ' )
Yeah and I think that you should listen to your Doctor , what he or she says is for your own good ( aka welfare ) , but you don't have to necessarily take it ( the advice ) , you could just do what you want , it's your decision after all

I have an astigmatisism in my left eye, blind as a bat and I'd be d*m'd if I wear my glasses outside in public-i wear contacts then glasses at night- it's not vanity, it's the fact that from 15 to even adult hood people look at me funny when I have glasses on and say OMG u look sooooooooo different in a very bad way.

started wearing glasses when I was 4 years old. Really thick lenses, When I turned 12 my mom got me contacts and I have not turned back. I can't see Schnit without my contacts but I don't even own a pair of glasses. I just wish I could keep the dog hair of of my contacts . . .

I wear glasses. My dad said I will have to wait to try contacts. The glasses don't bother me any more, so I don't care that much. Some people look better w/o glasses but some people look okay with them.

I've been wearing glasses since I was 8 (I'm 47 now). OMG!
Most of the time it doesn't bother me, but sometimes I want to rip them off and throw them accross the room, but then I'd have to have someone help me find them since I'm blind without them LOL. I also wear contacts occasionally, but I find them very irritating after a very short while and they make my eyes and me tired for some reason, so I rarely wear them. I would love to have that laser eye surgery, but I'm also terrified that I'd end up blind with my luck HA!

I like to wear glasses when I dress up like a naughty school girl. It definately adds to the look!
Other than that, I only wear sunglasses.
