According to a study I read about on the aol front page earlier this morning, that stereotype has recently been broken by new study finding that they speak about the same amount of words daily, with women speaking around 70 words more, instead of the thousands of words difference somebody came up with decades ago. I think I talk more than the average person, but I have known men who couldn't shut up to save their lives.

Come on now. It's not a trivial question and everyone knows it. Men/women dynamics are fascinating, the stereotypes exist for a reason and there are plenty of exceptions on both sides.
And who doesn't think that - IN GENERAL - women talk more than men. Not every woman - in general.
Strap some on guy.

Yes women talk almost three times as much as men, with the average woman chalking up 20,000 words in a day - 13,000 more than the average man.
It's what makes us so articulate :)

Yes, but they're not as smart as men and don't work as hard. All they have to do is work all day at their job then come home and take care of kids, a husband, and stuff. Because of things like that they don't have much for sleep and therefore are awake to talk more while their husband snores quietly and peacefully in the bed without saying much.
PS to ladies: It was a goofy question so I gave it a goofy answer.

In my own observation, yes. Every time I call home, I always talk to my mom cause my dad always runs out of things to say. My mom, in the other hand, will keep on talking until my phone card runs out.

no I dont think we do . I think men talk more especially when they are around other men cause if you get them started on the subject of cars then it 's on . good luck .
