No he didn't. I was hoping he wouldn't and he didn't. I really like Elton but felt that that particular song was best left in 1997 when it had seemed appropriate......not something to be repeated in my opinion. Candle in the Wind in its original form is gorgeous and is of course referring to Marilyn Monroe. Elton is GREAT !

No offence, he said he'd neva sing the Diana version again. Also the original referred to Marilyn. It was great tho the songs he did, Saturday and two others. He also introduced the Concert with a song I believe. Not entirely sure, didn't see from the beginning.

No. News reports indicated that William and Harry requested that Elton John did not sing that song as it reminded them of the sadness of that day.

No, he sang your song. I think Cnadle in The Wind was a little too much for the princes to handle. Remember they were only 12 and 15 when she died, so they had to spend the hardest years in a person's life without her, and they also had to keep a strong front for the crowds. I guess that particular song was too emotional for them to handle, especially on her birthday. The song itself is beautiful, and it was written for Ryan White when he died in 1990. Such a pretty song.
