William and Harry both have to be Militarily trained because they are 2nd and 3rd in line to the throne after their father. It is a British tradition that the monarch, as well as being a religious leader, is also a Military leader- hence the training.
And people were probably shouting peace either because they thought it sounded cool, or they believed that Diana somehow represented peace.

Just because they are militarily trained, it doesn't mean they don't believe in Peace!
Just because people join the Army, it doesn't mean they want to go out and get stuck into Wars and blow people up, it is a respected and needed career.
We don't have a choice but to have a prepared Army unless the whole world is prepared to stop conflict... and that is never going to happen!

We used to yell that alot during the Vietnam war. I think it now used to reflect the War in Iraq and any other conflicts around the world. It also means Peace between humans, your next door neighbor, the postman and any others to happen to come in contact with during the course of the day. And particuarly Peace between countries. Peace to all....

It wasn't anything to do with Wills or Harry shouting 'peace'. I think P Diddy started it when he was talking about the airport and car bomb things that had happened recently and coaxed the audience to chant it.

Did William and Harry shout "peace"? Would you suggest that getting rid of our armed services will bring peace? Don't think so.

We fight for peace.
I can't believe you're asking this!
I didn't join HM Forces to conquer, I joined up to defend my Nation and to ensure peace for my family and friends. We're not warmongers!
It's also tradition for the Royal Family members to join the military.

Unfortunately, leaving ourselves unarmed will not lead to peace unless every other nation does the same!
