Why is McBride, Howard, Reyna & Donovan not in the Copa America?

because the US wanted to give experience to there younger players in a tournament that does not even matter...its actually not even for the US...they wanted to rest there top players so they could actually go back to the national team in better form then they left

Reyna and McBride are retired from international play, Howard was kept off the squad and Donovan chose to play for club over country in this event.
A very poor showing by the US side and frankly it is an embarrassment. Either commit to fielding a competent team or decline the invitation next time. IMHO, it showed a lot of disrespect by the US towards the South Americans.

McBride retired from international soccer.
Don't know why Howard wasn't in the roster. Everton wanted to rest him perhaps?
Reyna and Donovan were back in MLS, which is in season right now. They already missed 3-4 MLS games because of the Gold Cup.

Excellent question but unfortunately it's too late for us to answer this question b/c we got our butts kicked in Venezuela. We played terrible and only scored 2 goals in 3 games. It's time to evaluation our coaching situation as we need a real coach with international experience. The copa America was a total nightmare.

i like the call soccer if for no different reason than it sort of feels to piss human beings off from different countries. it is soccer, has been, is now, would be interior the destiny. we've our sort of soccer, like it or hate it, they do no longer look to be giving up the call. BECAUSE THEY'RE AFRAID TO PLAY AGAINST THE SOUTH AMERICANS. THEY PLAY AGAINST THOSE TINY CARIBBEAN ISLANDS AND THOSE INVISIBLE (IN THE MAP) CENTRAL AMERICAN NATIONS, BUT WHEN IT'S TIME TO FACE SOUTH AMERICA THEY GET AFRAID. SO THEY SENT A "B" CAUSE THEN THEY WOULD HAVE AN EXCUSE IN CASE THEY LOSE ALL MATCHES
