I took a temporary job once as a weaver/warper. This entailed starting at 7:30 am, switching on a machine that would drown out a jet engine and finish at 5:30 pm. Dinner time was staggered so 30 machines were running all day. You switched your machine off every two days or so to change the bails. Or, sometimes the cotton reels snapped and you had to re-thread it through a 300 prong like comb. You stood there, trance like, waiting for the next cotton reel to empty. I lasted a week. At £1:00 an hour, I took home £36!, I was not pleased to say the least.

Deputy officer in charge with a social services department, providing care for adults with learning difficulties.
What made the job terrible was not the work itself, which I enjoyed, but the fact that I had a genuine nut-job bunny-boiler for a boss! She really had a lot of mental health problems, and kept making bizarre and ficiticious allegations about me, that the very PC department were obliged to investigate, despite the total lack of evidence or substance, which meant I was almost constantly on suspension and having to go before inquiries!

YTS trainee at a fish farm. I got every rotten job going. The worst was cleaning the screens that catch all the dead fish. I had to rake them up and then wheel them round to the pit and cover them in lime. The pit was full of rats.
They gave me an old pair of leaky waders. Conveniently they leaked at the crotch; so that when I got on the bus to go home, I always got a seat on my own. Who wants to sit next to the kid with a wet crotch stinking of fish.
I lasted 3 months.

I've had a couple of jobs that didn't pay too well. If I had to pick the worst, it would be usher at a movie house, but only because I got fired.
I have since had a lot more success as a singer and entertainer.

You beat me on that 1! I had a pretty bad job working as a welder in a factory. I do not have a bad job now I often remember how much harder, for how much less I used to work to this day.

Re-painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, some Italian lad had put graffiti all over it years ago. Took two coats of industrial strength emulsion to cover it.
