That we have kangaroos hopping down the main street in Sydney and that we all talk like the late Steve Irwin. That Sydney is the capital of Australia. That Australia don't have any supermarkets - so Americans tourists should bring their own supplies of Twinkies.
Another myth is that we are so backwards we don't have ATMs. (This is NOT true - we have ATMs but it can only be used by people who earn at least $80K a year and only accessible on Saturday afternoons between 1pm and 6pm.)
The last one was a bit of Aussie sarcasm by the way.

I'm from Florida and I'm not old or Jewish.
I live in Arizona and though it IS definitely a desert region, there is a time when there is an abundant amount of rain here. This time is called "monsoon season" by 'zonans.

Turkey: There are a lot of myths i don't even know where to begin with. but in Turkey it is not always warm it snows in the winter.
And women do what they want, we wear everything we want. it is a secular country. We wear bikinis, skirts noone can say anything.
And we are not Arabs and we don't speak Arabic.Please stop asking that!

That all Singaporeans can speak Chinese, eat with chopsticks and eat rice.
NOT!
We speak perfect English, we use fork and spoons and we have McDonald's, KFC, Burger King etc etc etc
And I don't have a single drop of Chinese blood in me~!
