Because Australia actually has a meaning - it means Southern Land (Australis)

And because we got taught how to spell properly in school.

Well last time I was at Australia and not Somalia because I call it a camera. I spelled it like a failed it and with an O I was so like zorro with a fellow and a hello. It isn't a missn't any wizzn't like snoop dog with a hoop hog. It was a good day.

I don't see why it should be since I've never heard it pronounced as 'Oustralia'. Everyone I know pronounces it as Aw-stralia.

because it's not pronounced Ostralia, where are you from, I'm an aussy and I pronounce it with an A, so does everyone else I know
