I have a yard made of slabs of stone and every time I look at it closely, there are these tiny, microscopic-silverfish like insects that move very fast and jump like a flea when touched. I don't think it's tick because they don't look anything like it. There are thousands of this tiny, microscopic things and they start to move much after sunset. Can anybody tell me what this is?

It's hard to say but, considering there's about 47 thousand insects species in the world, it could be anything.
I would guess it is not microscopic or, how did you see it.
I would also guess it's a type of non invasive, non lethal insect, probably in the breeding stages that's why there's so many of them. Give them a few days, they may just die off on there own. Otherwise go to Wal-Mart and get something from there "kill" shelf and either spray the yard or use a chemical that goes on the ground, For something this size, maybe a malathion based product, about 50% should do it.
