there was this movie that had these teenagers who like to rollerskate and they were like in the future and they found this ball that lit up and they used it to play roller hockey of some kind and there were other people trying to take it??

...uh, I hate to be a stickler for details, folks, but try 1986's "Solarbables"; this is the film you're REALLY looking for!!! Sorts of a slick "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" for the teen crowd.
