Good insight as Mike Shanahan, dubbed "the Mastermind" around these parts, has won exactly one playoff game in eight season since a horsey looking QB retired.

His two hand picked successors, Brian Griese and Jake Plummer haven't led the team to much success, so now he's trying his 3rd QB in Cutler. Shanny is supposed to be some kind of QB guru, but I haven't seen any reason to believe that.

The AFC is much too loaded for the Broncos to be a factor this year as they still need to improve thier O-Line. Cutler will spend plenty of time on his a** as he does not feel the pass rush nearly as well as Plummer did. When the Broncos did win Super Bowls they had the best O-Line in the biz with future HOFer Gary Zimmerman anchoring it. Their current line is mediocre at best.

The Broncos will most definetaly make it to the Super Bowl, maybe not in the next three years, but they defiinately will. Jay Cutler is better than most think, he did will last year for starting in the 2nd half of the season. Wider recievers are stacked pretty well, with Smith, Stokley, and Walker the rookie tight end, did very well last year too. The defense is awesome with champ bailey, and will still be good with the loss of Williams. I can see them making it easily.

OK, Cutler did have a poor record at vanderbuilt, but it was VANDERBUILT. A school definitely not known for football and he did amazing things there. He has a rocket for an arm and moves pretty well. He has amazing talent around him. The broncos will be *** kickers this year. I think that Travis Henry will have a 2000 yard season.

Well Shanny blew it last year.....He should have never benched Plummer....threw away a perfectly good QB....yes he was struggling but he should have stood behind him the way Lovie Smith did with Grossman......And Plummer is a hella of a lot better QB.......I used to respect Shanahan but I really don't like Shanahan now.......If Plummer would have been in at QB they would have been in the playoffs....Shanny sold them down the river....and you saw it in their final games....all the vetereans had a sick look on their faces....they knew their best chance to win was with Plummer.......Ask me and I'd pick the guy who had a 76% winning percentage and who had broken some of Elways records over some kid that is unproven...it was stupid...
Denver needs to let Elway go to some extent......I have even heard Elway say that very thing............Its perfectly fine to still hold him up like we in the bay area do with Young and Montana......But there comes a point where you have to put them on a shelf like a trophy and let the new guy achieve that kind of greatness...

i am a chiefs fan....but i jay cutler is a lot better than most people think...and the broncos have a lot of great talent on their team...their defense alone could get them into the playoffs...maybe they are not the best team in the AFC or even their own division for that matter...but i think they could get on a run and go a lot deeper into the playoffs than people would think....

No,

Maybe they can draft one in the next couple years, but right now they have no quarterbacks on there roster. They should have tried to trade for Trent Green. He was not good enough to start for the Chiefs but he could definatly be #1 in Denver.

They aren't going to the Super Bowl this year when Jay Cutler hasn't even started yet...Broncos fans are a little unrealistic...

they do have a lot of talent around Cutler, however, they still have little Jay, who's win-loss record at Vanderbuilt left something to be desired.
so, take it how you will.... the Ravens won in 2000 with trent green, but they did have Ray Lewis..... hhhhmmmmm
