I'm a masochist, I mean rehabber, who's interested in getting a house to rent out and make some money. In running the numbers, I've come across something in which I have no experience: installing aluminum siding.

I want to know how much it should cost per square foot of the house, and/or how much it should cost for a wall of an example size. I need to have a mathematical basis for running the numbers before I jump into a project that could either bankrupt me or require a year of slow saving and work in order to complete.

There's no such thing as a dumb answer... although plenty of people give it the ol' special ed try. Please explain how you get to your answer, because that's what most important.

Thanks in advance.

Siding, in this case using ten feet square as a basis, is about $35.00 a square. Go to Home Depot and have them run up the numbers for you like I did. They'll give you the entire make-up with all the facts and, three different price ranges. Another thing, if you get them in a good mood, you may get free delivery, that's a savings in more then one way in itself.
Then you can go to Lowes or some other place and compare notes.
