People say being gay is a choice. That may or not be right. You see, all organisms mate with the opposite sex. Also humans too. However, if being straight is a normal thing, isn't being gay abnormal? Probably a chromosome gone bad or something. No offense. People are born with it, and even though they say being gay is not a choice, it might be later in the future and they find out if it is a genetic mishap, or they find a way to change sexuality.
My next point is choice. They say it's not a choice. But I think it is. You can choose to be whoever you are. It's just that they prefer to be their sexual orientation rather that deny it. If I was gay, but however, was "No, I don't want to be gay. I'll stick straight." I'll be straight. I'm straight, by the way. Gays find it hard to control their sexuality, or just impossible. It might be impossible, which then, takes choice out of the question.

Next is religion. I find this stupid. God hates F*gs. It is really retarded. When did God ever decided that gays are a sin. I'm atheist, so whatever. Nobody can say that. It would be like saying, "My friend says you're retarded and not cool, just because he says so."
Other say gays are not even animals. That is extremely oppressive, and not true.
Put up your debates and arguments.

Yes, I know there are gay animals. What I'm saying is that it takes a male and a female to produce an offspring. That's how all animals do it. If a male panda and a male panda hooked up, there's is a 0% of an offspring.

That trait might be genetically disturbed. I sound like a mad scientist who desires for an utopia. but all I'm saying is, that you might be born with being gay, which might be a disturbed genetic code.

I don't think people are understanding what I'm saying. I'm saying it MIGHT be. If it is, then well I'm right. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong. I never said being gay is a genetic disorder is a fact. By the way, did you know you don't have to be radiated to have your genetic messed up? It happens to lot of people who had traits go haywire and had teeths and gums growing in their sides. Also, I said is being gay a choice, a disease, OR a sin of god? All you gays are saying is that "Oh he's so ignorant. He doesn't know how I feel, or what I'm going through right now." You guys act as if you're superior to us.
My question was what do you think? Can it be a choice, some bad genetic or pheromone-infecting virus, or (for those spirituals) a sin of god? Please, I'm not ignorant. If you disagree with my theory, please tell why.

complete rewrite: btw, your note didn't make me mad at you.
It's not a choice, though I imagine one could choose in such an event to be celibate, however, if one falls in love with someone of the same sex, and both partners want to express their mutual love in this way, then, why not? But I don't understand myself why anyone would choose to be GLBT, with all the negativity, harassment and even violence toward folk like us, and all the pressure out there to be "normal like everyone else" standardization is the rule out there.
I don't believe it's a sin. Looking at the Bible, it speaks of men lying with men with lust. That would mean to be that if it's done with lust and not love, it's a sin, and heterosexuals and GLBT's alike can have lust issues. Besides, I think the Bible is a book of truth, like a book of fables or any other religious book, but certainly not God's Memoirs as told by Himself. No, there's truth, and a lot of opinion.
A virus? No. Not bacterial or viral. I do think there is a genetic predisposition in some folk, where in some it is dominant, in some recessive. There could be unknown environmental triggers too, things that may have happened in infancy that may trigger it off. I do not think it is a mutation, because there have been GLBT's present throughout history, more of less a constant. A mutation would have a beginning point within a species, no? (I'm asking you.) So far the only mutations I've heard of are cancer and birth defects, and those are viral, bacterial or more likely caused by toxins, pollution, or malnutrition.
IMHO, it's a trait. I might draw a lot of fire from my tribe here, but I've heard something an experiment done on frogs, where once the frogs had bred to the point where they were overcrowded, some began to display homosexual behavior (for lack of a better word) So I think that it is a trait deep, deep down in the genes to prevent dangerous overpopulation and prevent a successful species from overpopulating itself into extinction.

Well, I wouldn't say it is a choice for the majority, that's why I argue it xD Though, even if it were, it doesn't make a difference, there's nothing wrong with LGBT people. There was a lady on youtube that brought up this topic before, when I saw it I kinda thought for a moment and wondered why people somehow think that if it was a choice it would automatically be bad. And yes, if I had a set of clothes that were all purple I'd be wearing it :P

Don't be fooled by the gay animals rant. What is it, about .005% of natures' population? I feel it is a genetic trait or a manipulative trait where something that happens in life makes one more comfortable with the same sex.
I think religion should just shut the hell up about the gay issue anyway, they're far from being the moral pillars they claim to be.
I'm straight, but I believe there is no good argument against gay marriage.

Anybody can rub two organs together and call it sex. Any combination of people can do it. What defines my gayness is that I have an overwhelming desire to be both physically and mentally with men. So this means that you could have chosen to be gay? without an overwhelming desire to do so? I don't think that if you're straight you would ever be satisfied with that. Are you irresistibly attracted to women? If you are then you can understand that you never at any point in your life decided..."gee, I think I'll go for women...they turn me on so much"...it was just there. It was who you were. It's the same as being gay for me. I didn't choose. Why on earth would I lie about that? To someone I don't even know on a computer --why would we make this up?

You seem to have planned out what answers we will give you by the choices you gave us. I personally prefer to choose option "E".
I believe that in as much as all fetuses begin in utero as female, the reason some children grow into "gay" adults is due to something occurring during gestation about which we do not yet have a clue. During the gestation period, something occurs that causes the female fetus to develop male genitalia and become a male. It would seem obvious that it would be quite easy for a fetus that was developing as a male to have a skoosh more hormone or a skoosh less than needed and develop an emotional programming that was skewed towards males.
Also, remember that everything that you are is a result of the strands of DNA that programmed your development. A single glitch in the strands millions of years ago could have over the millenia led to the conditions we have now.
Perhaps some people can force themselves to "change" from gay to straight but those persons may in reality be "bi" who do not in fact "change" but rather just adapt to favor their heterosexual side in response to external pressures. This could be the reason many homosexuals "fail" when they try to live up to others' expectations.

People are born either straight or gay. Scientists don't know if it's a genetic trait or if it's a different chemical balance in the brain. There is much research to be done. Until they find out, there is no sense making judgments. Perhaps one day, people will be able to choose, but as it is right now, it's not a choice. Jesus said to Love one another, to do unto others as we would have them do unto you. Treat all people with courtesy and respect, regardless of their sexual orientation. No one should infringe on the rights of others.

You make some sense on some of your ideas. It wont end the debate though. Because anti gay people are motivated by hate and conformity. They will always find a new argument against homosexuality.
As for "choice, a disease, or a sin of god"
None of the above
Human sexuality is as diverse as the population itself. There is no ONE and only ONE reason for being a same gender loving person. There are many unique reasons.
Despite the tendency for humans to seek and demand conformity the natural state is one of individuality
Every person has their own unique view of the world

Some people choose to spread bigotry and hatred. Do you know any?
Please don't confuse inborn ORIENTATION with sexual BEHAVIOR. Behavior is always a choice.
If you were gay, you would have no choice in the matter. However, you COULD choose to refrain from all sexual activity, and be a blithering mess.
Most people prefer not to live a lie and induce trauma upon themselves.
Don't take my word for it. Listen to the tens of thousands of scientists in the AMA and APA, who state that orientation is inborn, not a "choice," and does not change.

Have you ever been to a pet store? Some rats are gay and frogs, dogs. Being gay is not a choice, it's genetic. Now, your right I could ignore my feeling and be miserable for the rest of my life just to make the straight people happy...But I don't know you THAT well.

As I said in another post, homosexuality is a physical attraction toward someone of the same sex. You can never choose your sexuality, however you can decide whether or not you act upon it.
Those stories of people who say that they went from gay to straight are complete crap. I can tell myself I like girls, but that doesn't make it true. [Been there, tried that.]
And I'm sorry, what exactly makes homosexuality 'abnormal'?
