Try eating loads of vitamin C foods instead. And check with your pharmacist before taking anything else, but most cold mediciations are ok.

How far along are you? when I was early into my pregnancy and one heck of a cold, I couldn't take anything. The doctors said not even robitussin. However, if the baby is develped past week twelve, I know that Robitusssin is reletively safe. I was told by my doctor that if I needed to, I could take Robitussin. Not sure which formula, I'd pick the one with the fewest medicines in it, and research it.

You can take claritin. They kept telling me to take claritin because I have allergies and that was supposed to clear me up. no dice. it wan't allergies.

I just had the same problem. Paracetomol pretty much sums it up.... doesn't do alot but helps you get a bit of sleep. Just try and rest as much as you can...I've hardly moved of the couch for the past 4 days. Otherwise you could be stuck with it for ages!

Sorry forgot to add that you should only take them every 6 hours not four.

Nothing. Most cold medicines are off limits to pregnant women, however your best to check with your doctor or midwife

You can take paracetamol, the normal dose, but make sure it doesn't have caffeine or codeine added.
You can also take vitamin C, and drink plenty of fresh juices.
You should avoid taking any herbal remedies without checking with your doctor or midwife, although "natural", they don't always go with pregnancy.

Tylenol and sudafed were the only things I was allowed to take while pregnant. Talk to your doctor.

You can try herbal medicine which is completely safe ..also known as homeopathic (sp?) ..things like Aloe Vera, etc. You may want to try something simple like warm soup (no meat or anything else, because it can often cause further irritation of your system). Just stay away from anti-biotics.

You should check with your doctor before taking anything. My doctor told me I could take Coldeeze Lozenges and they helped.
