My friends and I were discussing this at work and we can't find the answer anywhere. We were just curious. I said California or Texas, but we weren't really sure.

Alaska is the longest State in America running 1,479 miles or 2,380 km north to south.

Texans love to boast, but their state is only 790 miles (1,270 km) long.

California is 770 (1,240 km) miles long.

All I know is that Texas is 1200 miles from Dalkart to Brownsville and that Alaska is bigger but won't be once the snow melts. California looks pretty long. . .
