Realize it's too late to avoid that roadkill lying there in the street, and you can't miss it?

so far it has only happed once, i tried to avoid a deer that was killed, and i still ran over its upper body part. it upset me soooo much i cried!!even though it was dead already, i stll couldt shake the feeling that some how, i was the one that killed it.bothered me for a long time.. and i still on occasion think about it.
