If you are in there on a month-to-month lease, either the landlord or you can give the other 30 days to get out. No reason needed. This will not affect your credit. They are probably selling the place and the new owners don't want you as renters. Maybe they plan to remodel and raise the rent. Whatever, you gotta go. . .

If you are on month to month tenancy you have the right to give them a 30 day notice and vacate,,, AND... they have the right to give you one to terminate tenancy.
That's how it works.

Leave when they want you out and it will not end up on your credit report. If they have to evict you and get a judgment against you, THAT will be on your credit report.

It is also harder to find a new place to rent when you have been evicted, so don't be foolish, just leave peacefully and find a new place to live.

I am assuming that you did not get a "3 Day notice to pay rent or quit" You said a 30 day notice which means that they want you out and gone.

Hello there.

Probably the best source at this stage would be the internet. Regards for the future.
