It is only shallow if you equate good-looking people as being automatically better or nicer.

It depends on why they're interested in finding good looking people. Are they looking for pretty friends & people to date or are they scouting for models or something similiar?

Pretty people have something to offer the world too, it's pretty shallow to assume that all pretty people are shallow.

Actually, I have a friend who goes to particular places to see if there are ugly people there. He hands out his business cards. He is a plastic surgeon.
