I don't know about odds but Reyes trained with Rickey Henderson last off season and developed the Henderson "step over first step start" and is now a step and a half quicker to second base than he was last year. Rickey has guaranteed 100 stolen bases, or more for Reyes this year, and who are we to doubt Rickey?

Reyes probably won't reach 100 steals this season. It would be a neat thing to see, for sure, but don't forget that this is a team that's still fighting for a playoff spot. Risking his health by running him so much would be foolish down the stretch. And the only reason he's running so much now is because Green was hurt for a long period of time, and Delgado/Beltran/Alou were not even coming close the production they're capable of. Now that Beltran is heating up and Green is back, I'd expect to see Reyes slow down a bit. Not that he can't swipe 100, but I don't think we'll see it.

He's on pace for 85 which is well below 100. I don't see him picking up the pace in the middle of a pennat run with all the power thats behind him in that lineup. He might get 100 at some point in his career, but I don't see this being the year. I see him finishing somewhere in the neighborhood of 75.

I can't remember the last 100 steal season, maybe vince coleman in the mid to late 80's, I would say I don't think he will get 100, we are past the half way point.

he'll get between 84 and 70. He would have to go crazy to steal 100 and the MLB catchers just won't allow it.

Too bad he doesn't face Michael Barrett too often.

Jose will do it dont worry he will finish with 102! The odds are slightly against him but the mets havent even played theyre best baseball yet. Watch out for the Mets 2nd half.

I think he will finish the season with 98 stolen bases. Just a prediction not my opinion, because I think he could get over 100, but I am seeing the number 98.

We agree that he will make between 85-90 this year. But there is a bigger chance of passing 100 because he runs all bases in 15.5 seconds.

who cares if he steals 100 bases or not. Unless that helps the Mets go to the world series. He is an OVERRATED shortshop that needs to work on improving on his skillz
