u push people around and slam dance and u try to get people hurt after which u apologize otherwise, a fight will break out
some dudes bodysurf and all
i've seen cases where guys have concussions, being punched, got beaten up while moshing and this one guy bled through his head because someone scratched him too hard.
my friends have gotten bruises, broke glasses or lost a shoe

and if that person is fat, it seems like no one will punch him, they will use him to bounce their body back and forth
haha

and some girls learnt not to mosh in heels

When you think of a crazy rock band, do you ever think of crazy crowd surfing, people pushing, shoving, knocking other people down? That's the moshpit, just the crazy area of the crowd. And just about all bands have them. And if there's a moshpit, it can still be dangerous no matter what band is playing. I heard that a girl either got hurt or maybe even died (rumors, probably, I don't know) at a Fall Out Boy concert moshpit.

LOL.
not alot of people do. and before i go further into detail; mosh pits vary from city to city.
not all bands get moshpits, and the only real mosh pits are at screamo, metal, hardcore etc. bands.
pop punk bands usually get a bit of jumping, but that's not exactly a moshpit. so pretty much, not all concerts have them, and sometimes, only certain bands playing in a set will. it relies entirely on the music.

and yeah xD
you can get up close without actually moshing.

A lot of pushing , shoving, pot smoking, fighting(which doesn't continue out side of venue), grinding, bloody noses, head banging, and energy. If your not in the mosh pit during a heavy metal concert, you were not really their!

If you plan on bring a female friend into a mosh pit, be prepared to tend to her after the concert. Most of the injuries where to females.

Moshpits are a great way to get into the music, use your energy, and have lots of fun at the same time.

Moshpits only happen with Rock music.
It's an expression of the love of the music.
The music gets the fans into a zone,
and they mosh.

They mosh to show respect,
they mosh because they're highly into it,
and they mosh because they're having a good time.

Mosh pits are generally confined to punk and heavy metal bands, though I've seen them at techno and hip-hop shows, too. I have NEVER seen one at any other type of music.

Most venues discourage them for insurance reasons, but they can't stop it. If you want to make sure you avoid it, stay back from the stage at these types of shows, till you get a feel for the crowd.

Well all the concerts I went to it was a small circle in comparison to the rest of the concert. We always went to outdoor concert venues tho.

I never got them personally. My best friend would come back to our spot w/ a broken shoe or a black eye & try & get me to join in....no thanks. :)
