I always started with a fire type pokemon.

I think the best choice is Cyndaquil because It'll have no problem with the first 2 gyms because it'll have an equal chance of beating the Flying gym then for the second gym Cyndaquil's fire attacks should wipe the bug pokemon out. Then by the third gym you should've caught enough pokemon and earned more stronger TMs to beat the normal type gym

I love Chikoritas! It's very cool when it evolves and It even might get to learn Frenzy Plant. Totodile is cool too since it can learn ice type moves when it's Feraglitar (or whatever the spelling is). Cyndaquil is good too but it may not obey you when it evolves into Typhlosion (Or whatever the spelling is AGAIN.).

Depends, Chickorita levels the fastest but dosen't learn that well of moves.Totidile has the strongest attack and farley good moves but his speed is ahhh...okay and his level up is quite well compared to Chikorita and Cyndaquil has great status but the Gym leaders and Elite four are a lot harder for you .
To put it all together if your like me with a whole bunch of medium level pokemon choose Cyndaquil.Want a strong blob of power pokemon with low team mates I suggest totidile and if you want a good defenseman high HP topped with some Whoozaz Chicorita is perfect.

My favorite one is cyndaquil, but the best starter you can choose is totodile. It can learn ice moves too which can basically KO a chikorita and its water moves can beat cyndaquil.

Get Totodile. He is the 2nd strong pokemon then you can start in the middle level.

a cyndaquil because the stolen pokemon would be chikorita. which is stolen by ???(that's his name u will also battle him before u beat the whole game then he will become your fan) you also run into to him before u go to johto.

totodile definetly and are you talking about the pokemon game on gameboy advanced sp because i clocked the game and i picked totodile first.
