o0h i was always the shyest little thing growing up...actually i still have my moments...(lots of them)
you really don't just wake up one day & you're a different person...you take small little steps & work your way up....you can never go wrong with a smile & let me tell you flattery gets you everywhere
come on who doesn't like a compliment here & there..?
just try to speak up whenever possible..make sure people know you are alive at least...hehe :)-

Talk to others...I am generally a shy person around people I don't know but around friends and family I'm totally outgoing! So just get to know almost everyone around you and know what they are like...Once you know about almost everyone you won't have a problem facing others who have the same types of qualities. Or do something to stand out and like for example I'm running for homecoming court I really want it bad so I'm going to forget about all the shyness and come out straight and forth! Wish me luck?! =D

The very shy person should check out his smile in front of a mirror. If he's grimacing instead of smiling (like he thinks he is), he won't appear very approachable at all. Show interest in others. You'll reach a point where this feels natural because you really are interested.

To not care. To become apathetic, but in a way that doesn't make you look creepy of course 'cause you want people to approach you, not avoid you... but seriously, don't give a f*ck about anything or anything and you will just naturally say what you wanna say and do what you wanna do, and you will have a good time doing that and others will appreciate it. But there is nothing wrong with being quiet... we quiet folks have our charms too...

I have never had this problem but my friend did until he started hanging out with me, maybe that is the key find yourself someone really, really not at all shy that you truly get along with and in time you will be drawn out too.

Find a good friend who is not shy. Go out with him/her to mix & mingle. But before you do that you need to realize you are made by God & you are worthy of friends & companionship. Boost your self-esteem but convincing your mind of that. When your mind is convinced your body will follow.
