Alex Cora with the Dodgers is my quess/answer. 18 to 20 pitches a couple of years ago. I'll look into it a little more, and reply with the exact game.
Got it!
On May 12, 2004, Cora had an 18-pitch at-bat against Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Matt Clement. Facing a 2-1 count, Cora fouled off 14 straight pitches before finally hitting a home run. It's the longest documented at-bat since baseball statisticians began keeping track of pitch counts in the mid-1980s.

I drank a pitcher of beer while eating a dozen beer-battered appetizers with an old bat out back last night. We had tennis balls playing with the dog, and occasionally a foul odor would eminate from someone. We were listening to CD's, since I sold all my records quite some time ago. Wonder is a company that makes bread, among other things, and a record was the first commercially available method to transfer music, voice, etc, to the public.

According to a MLB.com article, Ricky Gutierrez (playing for the Houston Astros) is credited with the longest modern-day at bat, 20 pitches, against Bartolo Colon (pitching for the Cleveland Indians) on June 26, 1998.

I've seen an 18-pitch at bat, I don't know who it was but it was the CUBS, on the last pitch it was a homerun. Which proves the fact that if you wait for you pitch...

I have also heard of 15, but I really don't know if there is more... hehe 15 is quite a lot... I'm sure I could find out if I do some more research, but I don't think its too necessary.
