Tony Parker. Nash is spectacular, but he's suspect on the defensive end. Probably the quickest PG, Parker's efficient on both ends of the floor, and he can get to the basket for high percentage shots. He shown that he can distribute and handle the ball just as well. And his outside game's shown improvements in leaps and bounds. PG is the position the team looks to for D and to make things happen, and Parker is easily the most efficient pointguard in the league at the moment.

Steve Nash, oh wait playing defense is part of being the best and he is an atrocious, ATROCIOUS defensive player that lucked out by peaking for consecutive seasons without a true dominant player in the league.
best is Jason Kidd- 8-time NBA All-Star: 1996, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2007
6-time All-NBA:
First Team: 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004
Second Team: 2003
9-time All-Defensive Selection:
First Team: 1999, 2001, 2002, 2006
Second Team: 2000, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007
Alltime: ranks 3rd in triple-doubles, ranks 7th in assists, ranks 5th in assist-per-game average, ranks 12th in steals, ranks 12th in steal-per-game average
One of only three players in NBA history to record at least 13,500 points, 6,000 rebounds, and 8,500 assists in his playing career
easily could have won the 2002 MVP (he finished second to Duncan) single-handedly dragged a ho-hum Nets team into the Finals for two straight years, averaged an Oscar-esque 20-9-8 in the 2002 playoffs, maybe the only person alive who could have salvaged Vince Carter's career, with the notable exception of Magic, nobody grabbed a rebound, turned on the jets, went coast to coast and got to the rim like J-Kidd.

UM... i love how everyone thinks steve nah and Jason Kidd right off the bat. but think about it: you want a complete package. Nash can't play D and JKidd cant really shoot very well. who has both those qualities and is like 10 years their junior?
DERON William.
Yes, Dwill is the best PG in the NBA. he has great potential, he can shoot, pass, hustle, defend and he's only a sophomore.
oh, and B-Diddy as well. when he is healthy he can really be a force.

I'm sorry but this is the easiest question on this site because no one can argue against Steve Nash being one of the best ever along side Magic and Stockton.

In my opinion, it has to be Steve Nash. The stats back it up. He was 2 time and MVP and probably should have won again this year.
