Hi,

I have been invited to parliment on the 25th and I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to get there from Euston station?

I am partially sighted and every map of the tube I have seen is too small for me to see.

Also, I imagine the tube will be packed, so can anyone give me advice on how to survive the crush?

Also, any idea how much it will cost and how much time I should allow to get there?

Thanks.

All the info you should need will be on the website below. If you buy a travel card or an oyster card the journey will be at a fixed rate wherever you travel in town.
The tubes and buses will be busy, but if you're travelling out of the rush hour it shouldn't be to crowded.
Parliment is directly by Westminster Station which is on the Jubilee line.

It would only cost about £10 at the very most in a black cab from Euston, why not just avoid the tube altogether and get a taxi?

As for tubes being crushed, well that's only on certain lines during rush hour - not all day long. If you're travelling at 5:30pm then yes it will be a bit busier but Londoners are not inhuman (oh no we're not) and if you've got a white stick then people will help you if you ask them.

You could catch the No. 68 from Euston and change at Waterloo for the 211 to Parliament Square if you wanted to avoid the tube and still do it on a budget. There are dedicated seats near the entrance and exit for those with disabilities.

Otherwise you could get a bus.

Euston to Westminster.

Get southbound Northern Line (Black) to Embankment. - 6 stops.
Then Transfer to the westbound district or circle line (green/yellow) for 1 stop to Westminster. journey time approx 25 - 35 mins. cost £4 single or buy an off peak travel card for £5.10 then that will get you back.
If you approach a station assistant and ask for assistance at Euston they will escort you to the northern line arrange for you to be met at embankment and arrange your transfer to the circle or district line and have you met and escorted out of the station you may even be lucky to be escorted all the way across the road to parliament (there a good bunch).
If you email www.tfl.gov/tube, they do a large print tube map which will be posted to you (for free). it is excellant for people who have difficulty reading the little map.
the tube is very very user friendly and you will be ok when negotiating your route, hope this helps, paulie m.
girl who told you to change at green park is correct as well, but the interchange from victoria line to jubilee line is probably the longest interchange on the network about an 8 minute walk.

wow, going to parliament, eh? ok, you're starting at Euston, right? Get the VICTORIA LINE (which heads towards Brixton) to GREEN PARK STATION. Then take the JUBILEE LINE (which heads towards Stratford) to WESTMINSTER. Come out of WESTMINSTER STATION and you see the Houses of Parliament right infront of you!
Good Luck xxx

contact Transport for London, via their website, for partly sighted or for blind people, i think, they can arrange for a member of staff to travel with you- but they do charge you.
or as someone has already suggested a taxi,
