Nirvana Is The BEST in acoustic guitar songs, check out nirvana unplugged in new york and you will have your mind blown away! Get the song (Polly) and (Lake of Fire) The Best Songs on that album and check out his earlier work, likethe album (Nevermind) The Best At Acoustic.

Shame. Most of the Great acoustic rock songs were done well *Before* 1995.... ah well....

Metallica, in their prime, made several hit scores w/ acoustic guitars. ELO did one fantastic instrumental acoustic guitar piece in '73. Heart's "Crazy On You" and "Dreamboat Annie" come to mind. Also, Triumph's "Fight The Good Fight" marries acoustics w/ electric guitars nicely.
