That's not true---the head of the family or an institution is NOT always right --- it's just that they may think they are and others may agree. In the case of the family, for the want of maintaining harmony, others may accept the head's view. With respect to an institution or organisation, the problem is power --- someone in power may think they are right but may not necessarily be so, and unless one is willing to risk their job etc by challenging this head, they are accepted as being right. So basically, no they are not always right, it's just that some people would prefer to leave them to their perception of being right!

I don't know. I think it is because society relies on someone to be in charge and lead them. So it only makes sense that it would the same in a smaller group of people, such as a family.

If no one is in charge, it would fall into chaos and it would nearly always be constant fighting and doing whatever you wanted, regardless of if it was good for you or not.

Sometimes the head figure does what you don't want but what is better for you.

The head is not always right..often the other member also get some right but people have the general assumtpion to look upto the head and also jump to the conclusion that they are right without considering others' opinions.

You definitely have a clear gripe, on the whole a well articulated list, although a trifle overstated at times. Don't fall into the trap of using loaded words and phrases. Back to the question, I do think that the Republicans have a problem there. My friend, we all do.

They cannot be right for everybody as it is not possible to keep everyone happy in the family/institution. Few will suffer for sure. For example, being avid Harry Potter fan I would like to refer Prof Albus Dumbledore, wisest wizard in the HP series. He made mistakes in his decisions; many suffered.
