i assume youre in the UK, in which case you need 2 good science A levels, inc biology, my 2nd was psychology, but you could have maths, chemistry, physics etc. Bristol is one of the best zoology departments, but i have just finished at Leeds, which was a really good department, and comes top for research which i am now going in to

Prerequisites would include lots of biology classes such as intro bio, cell bio, microbio, and others like parasitology, genetics, anatomy.
I don't know the region you live in, so I cannot tell you some better colleges. The best way to find out is to check out websites of different colleges in your area, then go and visit the bio dept.

You will have to take lots of chemistry, physics, physiology, ecology, biochemistry, calculus, microbiology, genetics, evolution, biology, and you get to pick and choose your upper division courses which usually include: entomology, ornithology, ichthyology, embryology, mammalogy, etc., etc. Check out his site for universities in the US that offer zoology as a major:
