Its more likely to be the water parameters other than temp thats caused it give him chance to get over the shock, he should be ok unless the PH swing has been massive or the ammonia is strong.
I would check the PH, ammonia and nitrite to see what the difference is, if there is a strong difference then i'd do a water change, use the old water from the other tank if you still have it.

is you tank cycled? what is the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate level? did you add dechlorinator when you add new water? new bags are not really that bad. You should never change all of your filters. Alot of the beneficial bacterials live on those filters. once you remove the filter, the bacterials will be gone too. your cycle will be messed up. you need bacteria to turn the ammonia(bad) to nitrite(bad). another bacteria to turn nitrite(bad) into nitrate(not too bad). that's why you should never wash you filter with tap water. Once that chlorine filled water touches the bacteria, they all get killed. Good luck buddy. I too have an oscar. a 12 inch tiger oscar to be exact.

when you sitch a fish form a tank your supposed to take water from the tank put it into a plastic bag put the fish in the bag. tie it and place it in the new tamk that has sat for at least nough time to make it room temperature so that it can slowly get used to it. you let it out of the bag after about 1-3 days. probally closer to the three range.

I don't know how old your Oscar is, but they are very tempermental fish and tend, yes even the males, to be exceptionally good drama queens.

If you took all the precautions neccessary when you setup the the new tank, more than likely he's just got a case of "what did you do to me" hysteria.
