as a general rule, you should not have more than 1 inch of fish for every gallon of your tank. So for your 3 gallon tank, you should have no more than 3 inches of fish. For example: if your Betta is 1 inch long and your Danio's are 1/2 inch, then you can have 1 Betta and 4 Danio's!

None, you tank is quite small. I'm assuming you probably don't have a filter or a heater either. Get a larger tank with a heater and filter. The betta would be fine with the danios as long as they aren't the bright, florescent ones.

well i learned from experence tht bettas dont do well in tanks with other fish, my bettas color faded and othe fish ate at its fins.
