Out of the following four people, whose career do you think has taken the biggest slide?
Robin Williams
Eddie Murphy
Adam Sandler
Jim Carrey
They all showed promise at some point of their career, but lately it seems that every new project (movie) of theirs is just a sad reminder of how funny they used to be. I understand that there is something to be said about wanting to avoid typecasting and wanting to appeal to a broader audience, but once you get that "art house" flick out of your system, I think you should embrace your roots and return to the genre that made you famous.

To be honest, I think they are all starting to bounce back. They have dabbled in serious roles and it has paid off for all of them at some point. As far as comedic performances, Adam Sandler slid the most. He has been in a slump for awhile. His recent movies weren't hits at all. Plus, his serious performances were not the same caliber as Jim Carrey (Man on the Moon, Truman Show), Eddie Murphy (Dream Girls), and Robin Williams (Good Will Hunting). They are all great. Adam just needs the right role.

jim has took the biggest slide cuz he did a horror film, but he can still b funny. the 1 whos lost his "funny side" the most is adam. eddie was funny as an a**, jim hasnt done much bt ive seen him on talk shows & stuff & hes still got it. robin's new movie looks funny & i thought RV was good, aside from being a modernized version of "vacation". adam's last few have NOT been the adam we all fell in love w/ as a comedian. hopefully "chuck & larry" is funny.

Eddie. Beyond being Donkey, his career has tanked. Robin and Jim have branched out into serious roles, and Adam. while his last couple movies have been crap, has been fairly consistent (50 First Dates was probably his last good movie).

I don't think they've lost their sense of humor it's just we seen them in so many most that were kind've tired of their type of comedy. A comedian has is re invent themselves often. Eddie has lost a lot I think. What ever happened to the Eddie that was in "Raw" now he's family friendly Eddie.
