Career Totals....................................

Larry Bird - 24ppg 10rpg 6apg

Michael Jordan - 30ppg 6rpg 5apg

Larry beats MJ in everything except scoring!....MJ is the better scorer...Bird is a Better allaround player!......

ps:in Larrys rookie year the Celtics improved by 20 games!..
and won a championship the next year!....MJ first 3 seasons were LOSING season's..until Pippen arrived!..it Took MJ 8 years to (make his teamates better) and win a Title!...and when MJ retired in 94..the Bulls only dropped 2 games...from the year before!...and they replaced MJ's allworld defense and allworld offense with a CBA Player!....without MJ the Bulls almost won another Title!....when Larry Bird left the Celtics they fell to the basement of the NBA!..and still have'nt recovered!.....Larry Bird is a far better Allaround player then MJ ever was!....MJ could never beat the Celtics!...or win a Title in the 80's.......only in the watered down 90's and with Pippen!...without PIP..MJ is a baldheaded Dominique Wilkins....2 easy!

larry bird fills the stats...from points to rebounds to assists to steals. michael jordan does the same thing however his scoring abilities over shadow what he does on the defensive end (he has won a defensive player award as well).

As per todays NBA fantasy league, Shawn Marion is tops as he fills in the stat sheet but that doesn't mean he is better than the rest.

Fantasy-wise, Bird is up due to the fact that he hits cold-blooded 3s better than anyone in the league...bar none! he was constantly a triple-double threat. he'll beat you with or without the ball. Michael can't beat you that way. He must have the ball.

Although it's true that the Celtics beat the Bulls during the 80's, let's not forget the fact that the celts had a front-line of 3 future hall of famers (Bird, McHale and Parish) while jordan got no one. Pippen did not blossom right away. The front court trio of the Celts were better than anyone in the league.

Michael Jordan by a small margin, although Michael Jordan's stats do not do him justice. Jordan is much greater than Bird than his stats would show.

He is arguably the greatest rebounding guard.
He is unarguably the greatest shotblocking guard.
He is one of the greatest stealers.
He is one of the best passers among shooting guards.

Larry Bird was never more than a good defender. Jordan was perhaps the greatest perimeter defender of all time.

of their top or as quickly as MJ grow to be great? you could desire to recollect that poultry and Magic weren't of their top on the same time Micheal grow to be. in the event that they have been all between 24-31 the previous adult adult males win, yet have their issues of the size/ability of the recent adult adult males. additionally Bosh and James are purely hitting their primes. On greatness this is no longer close, yet who covers Bosh? Is Magic going to conceal LBJ?
