Not to me. I was a pretty happy pregnant woman and a pretty happy mommy. I have my days when things irritate the heck out of me but it doesn't stop me from smiling. Pregnancy is hard, physically and emotionally. Just support your partner and understand her and she will not feel burdened.

yes if not a planned one and no if it is a planned baby...initially i was very scared to bear a child because i feared i wud die ..normally shown in hindi cinema but when i got pregnant ,it was a beautiful experience that no man on earth can feel or even understand ...it is a lovely feeling especially after the 5th month when the baby starts moving inside but after the 8th month it starts becoming a bit difficult to do the household chores and the woman cant sleep properly during the nights due to heaviness in the tummy but if she has a loving and caring hubby ..both will enjoy the period rather than feel like a burden because the fruits are definately sweet
i have a seven and a half yr old loving caring and beautiful son

Yes and no. Some of the SYMPTOMS of pregnancy (weight gain, swelling, heartburn, nausea, headaches) are a burden....but having a new life grow inside of you, feeling the baby move for the first time, those are blessings :)

No way...if your parents would have thought the same way then u wouldn't have been here asking this question....
e.g., even if u plant a sapling and you want it to grow properly, you have to keep watering it and providing it with all the fertilisers everyday............
Here, In Pregnancy you are having a life that you have to take care and help it grow within your body.....So, just imagine how much effort and care one has to put it....
I do agree that there are manyy complications and adjustments to be done during pregnancy..but then its upon a mother how she takes it.....
Infact, I had enjoyed each and every second of my pregnancy as thats the only time when a would be mother gets all the attention and care from almost everybody...............
I am sure you will enjoy your motherhood....................
Take care.................

Pregnancy is a challenge. But more so it is the most amazing experience on the planet. Growing a new creation in side is an amazing, awsome experience. The delivery can be challenging but in the end it is a so wonderful to hold that child in a woman's arms.
I would do it over and over again.

If she has to bring home the bacon, yes it could be a burden. If she has poor health also, it could be a burden. It's no piece of cake, but there is also a lot of happiness that comes with it.

it is both a burden and a blessing - do you want to carry a 30lb weight on your stomach that presses against your bladder making you have to pee every 3 minutes - and occasionally when you sneeze or cough - not to mention painful feet that are swelled up like footballs - and don't let me start on the pain that comes with contractions and childbirth...

Of course it is. Morning sickness, not eating what you want, getting stratch marks, feeling grumpy, pregnancy brain, the waddle, the maternity clothes, the poking and prodding, the advice and don't get me started with the labor pains.
But is it worth it when that little baby's in your arms?
You betcha. Every tiny second of it.

It can be at times .. but it's SO worth it in the end!!
I'm 39 weeks 5 days and have gained 62lbs and waddling around like a duck (in 112 degree weather!) .. but I couldn't be happier about having this baby :)
babys are truly a blessing ..
