You are right: the only person who can make you angry is yourself! It is an emotion people use to respond to threat, stressors, loss, guilt etc. so it is a part of being human. It's a coping mechanism for dealing with an event/situation that seems threatening (whether it’s our body, values, loved-ones, self-esteem) that’s under threat. You might be angry because of irritation, upset, disappointment, regret, hurt. It’s OK to feel anger especially if understanding your anger helps you use it in ways that are helpful to you and others. Just don’t hold on to your anger. Let it go. Balance all your negative emotions with positive ones and don't be so hard on yourself.
