I had my nose done when I was about 22. In my case, I had a kind of bump on my nose and it was kind of crooked looking. It was bone, so it had to be broken to be reshaped.

I have never regretted getting my nose done. I think it's actually one of the best things I have ever done for myself. We all have that little imperfection that bothers us more than it should.

In my case, I had no bruising, at all, after the surgery. My face looked like nothing had happened. I felt a sore achiness for a week or so, especially when it was cold, but nothing that Tylenol didn't handle fine. It also hurt when I bumped it with my hand or anything else and I panicked every time that happened. I felt like it would break again, and collapse.

I had to wear a little nose "cast" for about 3 days, but I actually took it off after day one to go to a carnival (I was pretty stupid). I was supposed to wear tape on it for another ten days, but I only wore it at night around my house. Since everything was done from the inside, I also had no cuts or scars on the outside of my skin. I do have a scar, but you have to look up my nose to see it.

When I first saw my "new" face, I was sad and I even cried a little. It was like moving out of an old house and in to a better one- you still miss the old one because it was yours for so long. You know you're moving on to something better, but you still have affection for the way things were. I had the old nose for 22 years!

It took about 2 YEARS for the nose to feel like it was secure and a "real" part of my face. It's hard to explain that part, but from what I hear, it's typical.

Sorry,I have bigger problems than the size of my nose. How do I shift the sands of the hourglass, where they used to be?
