Existance is the state of being valid......you don't have to be alive to exist. You don't have to be a solid object to exist. Something simply has to be, to exist. (In the physical world)
What about the tooth fairy? Does not exist in the physical world. However and argument could be made that it exists in ones mind. An infinite possiblity exists in the limitless concience of our brains. That does not mean that all of our thoughts translate into the physical world well.

I would define *Existence* as the word we use to designate and communicate the presence of something -an object, an event, or idea- that pops into our awareness or consciousness because we are sentient beings with memory and feelings. That which exists, exists as a thought or idea that originates or takes form from our multidimensional experiences or from our on-going reflections of or upon those experiences. The word means many things, or stated differently, is it used in different ways by different people. Consider for example, the difference between the meaning of the word *existence*when someone says *atoms have existence* and *God has existence.*
I have given you my subjective definition but I believe it to be a good intersubjective or objective answer as well.

Existence - I would say, has to be perceived in the "real world" as existing - which is, to be sensible by an entity in regards to it's having some sort of substance. But there is also probable existence - what science deems existent (i.e. perceived by the senses). Then, we have anecdotal existence, and so on. Existence is really a matter of perspective, especially when dealing with those perceived by mere human beings!

Everything that is so. If it is not so, then it does not exist & there's no use fretting about it.
