I was just wondering. I myself have a slight problem with transposing letters because of a learning disability..although it never kept me back in school. But i've see other "ladies"(usign the term loosely) who have not only jumped on other peoples spelling and such..but continued on to mispell commonly used words like"imbarrassed" which is spelled "embarrassed". If you don't know do you tell your kids the wrong answer or what...Me I would say "well im not sure lets find out together"

I do help my daughter with her homework and I do tell her that mommy doesn't remember some things so I have to read her text books as well just to be sure I know what I'm talking about. I've also ordered a few of the teachers books to go with her text books. I also have issues with people's spelling. My favorite is the misuse of "their" "they're" "there".

I help my daughter with her homework when she needs it, but I check it every night regardless of whether I helped her with it or not. If I don't know the answer to something, I don't hesitate to say so. Then, we head to the computer to check it out or she'll call a classmate to make sure we're interpreting the question or assignment correctly.

I always tell my kids if I do not know the answer and yes we do try to find the answer together. I try to help them understand how to figure it out, but I do not tell them the answers, that is not helping at all.

Yes, helping your kids with homework is really good--just dont ALWAYS give them the answer, if i dont know the answer, I would use a calculator if it was math, or I would look in one of their school books. Or I would search online :)

I'm not a parent but my parents always helped me when I was little then offered to help me when I got older. If they didn't know they would send me to the other parent. But your "lets find out togeather" sounds good to me.
