I will attempt a craft called Flower Pounding where you lay flower petal on treated muslin, pound it with a hammer so the pigment from the flowers are stained into the muslin. Have you ever tried this, did it work and what successful techniques did you use?

I did it on sheer curtains and also on my handmade paper. It worked great. I used paper towels on top of the flowers and under the material. I probably will not try to wash the curtains.

This process will work. You have to understand the limitations Natural ( flower dyes ) are very fragile, and will not last long without proper care. Keep out of direct sunlight, spot clean if possible.Enjoy it while you have it, it most likely won't become an heirloom.
