I just figured he would be denounced as a liberal traitor now, for saying what liberals have been called anti-American traitors for saying the past several months.

Are you being sarcastic? There is no definition of liberal that could possible include Sen. Domenici unless Sen. Brownback is your definition of middle of the road. Sen. Domenici gets 100% ratings from the Eagle Forum, the John Birch Society and the Christian Coalition.

Senator Domenici. I guess he thinks he knows better than the generals who said we won't know until September whether the surge is working. I support waiting about two months to see.

Jim Baker is a smart guy. He was cochair of the Iraq study group. Everybody should have listened to him from the start.
