The way the Timberwolves have been shopping KG around and all the trade rumours that have been surrounding him it almost seems as if the Wolves have to get rid of him. If they don't, they're just going to lose him and get nothing in return 2009 (I think) when he's a free agent.
As for Kobe, he isn't going anywhere. The Lakers can't get rid of him for a bunch of reasons.
1. There are only a few teams in the league Bryant would consider playing for.
2. Bryant is worth too much to get rid of. The Lakers would never get enough in return.
3. A lot of teams have been following all of this Laker drama and the consensous pretty much is that Bryant is a huge reason, if not the sole reason, the Lakers are in the position that they are in now, and other teams don't want to deal with that type of drama no matter how good the player is. Kobe's a great individual player, but has he ever been the type of player that's made his teammates better? That matters to a lot of teams, especially teams with young guys that are still getting adjusted to the league. The last thing they need is a guy on their team demanding the ball everytime down the court. Young players can't develop in that kind of environment.

Dear 112233,
It seems like Kobe is staying put. He apologized to Mitch Kupchak and it seems like he's softening his stance on wanting to be traded. Besides the Lakers could not get equal value for him right now- and wouldn't trade him without getting a superstar in return.
The good news for the Lakers is that Nash has come out and said that Phoenix doesn't need KG and with the signing of Grant Hill- it seems like they may be taking themselves out of the running- although the signing of Hill makes it either for them to move Marion which could be a piece in pulling a deal for KG.
i think with the ways that the Wolves have been shopping KG around- thye almost have to trade him. So i think between the two right now- it seems that KG is the most likely one to be moved.

Kobe will be staying put. The Lakers would not be able to obtain the same value as Kobe in a trade, also the front office does not want to trade away their franchise player. Garnett, on the other hand, will most likely stay put, but it is possible that he could end up in Phoenix with Amare and role players being shipped to LA.
