There is no right age for it.
26 is perfect, go for it.
I am a dancer myself, I do Salsa too although is not my specialty.

You can learn at any age, but I would personally recommend that you learn mambo and/or samba instead. You'll eb able to dance salsa very well after that because the dance is pieces taken from the latter two. Plus, samba has better music!

Hey! There is no right age! LOL- Salsa is danced by people of all ages. You can keep up- there are plenty of people well into there 60's keeping up with salsa. Just go out there and have fun. WARNING ---Salsa is highly addictive!!!!

There's no time limit... I started latin dance lessons three years ago, when I was 40... By now I' m considered to be one of the best Rumba dancers in Greece... Dance is not a matter age, it's a matter of soul... Go for it...

Edit: Missy, you owe me an Argentine tango...

26 is a good age
people usually start ballroom & latin dances on their 20s
