I really like both names and the middle name..so you can't go wrong! But..if I had to chose..I'd go with Katherine! I really like that name..espically when you use Kate as a nickname!! =]

Katherine Elizabeth has a very regal, strong sound to it. Kaitlyn Elizabeth feels more lively, smiley, cute. Guess it depends on how you see the names being interpreted. I personally like Kaitlyn better.
By the way, my own daughter is Katerina.

Katherine is much more regal where as Kaitlyn brings to mind specifically a little girl. So I guess I like Katherine better.

Definitely 100% Katherine! I think Kaitlyn is overused especially in the trailer trash demographic.

For a baby, Kaitlyn, Katherine sounds too old to me. But on the other hand, Katie is cute for a baby.That could go for either name though.
