Yes, I had a mouth expander for a year, a lip bumper for 2 years, braces for 3 years (with headgear), and a retainer for 2 years.
But on the plus side, people constantly comment on how straight my teeth are!

I've had some sort of (torture)appliance in my mouth for the purpose of stretching my mouth and straightening my teeth. I don't remember what they were, but they weren't braces. But they did come with all the pain and nicknames as braces.

I wish I had braces for my teeth at some point. Now it would just be weird but I dont know.

Nope, my teeth are just straight like this. I have never had braces. I feel bad for those that have had them OUCH!!

No but my husband wore braces when he had polio as a little boy.
He was also in an iron lung.

Yes, which I was in jr college and then some! It was about 3 years total! I'm glad I had them though- my teeth are straight! :) I enjoy smiling now!
