As far as I know, I'm up to date with windows security downloads... Using Internet explorer, I clicked a link in a blog to one of those "make lots of money using my great system" sites, and immediately my antivirus notified me that a trojan downloader had been loaded, and "startup changes" were detected. So... is there anyone who actually analyzes this stuff, and can look at a site to figure out what new loophole someone is exploiting (...besides more hackers)?

Scottso- "...computers only do what you tell them to do..." hehe, it seems most software takes a lot more liberties than that :)... Anyway, if there's a loophole in the software itself, this answer is vauge at best.
Slider- hmmm, I don't know. It seems like it was automated to me, considering the speed at which it happened (I'm on broadband, and the file uploaded almost instantaneously upon visiting the site). I also doubt the person who promoted the link was online at that time, if that makes a difference.
