If someone graduated from a online college and another graduated from a reguar university and they both had same grades and are applying in nyc, do you think it would be hard for the online grad to find a good paying job? do you think employers don't like hiring online graduates?

Some don't care. Of those that do, the problem is not so much the fact if your degree was online, but if it was at a for-profit university (like University of Phoenix or Capella) rather than at a traditional university.

It depends on if the company does a degree check on the applicants.

It should not be a problem if the online degree is from an accredited college or university...or through an established college or university.

Online degrees require the same amount of study and committment that an in class degree does. They both require you to know the same amount of informations. The only difference is that you do the work at home, instead of having an in class discussion and assignments.

If I had the choice between two applicants with the same degrees and same grades, I would choose the one who completed the degree through distance ed. I have taken distance ed courses and know how difficult it is to budget your time and life around online courses...which showms me a little more dedication is needed for an online program.

BTW, your transcripts won't say that you completed your degree online.....
