do you have nice big swimminf pool he can dip into? are you keeping the day bulbs only on for 12 hours of the day? do you have mister in there so he can drink from dripping water? are you feeding him an omnivorous diet? they love meal worms, crickets, waxworms. and their veggie intake should NOT inclue butter, romaine, or iceburg lettuces!! you shoud try collard greens, turnip greens, kale, dandelion greens... you've only had him for two months, maybe he has a parasite infection. you should probably take him to the reptile vet make sure he has no parasites...

Try www.triciaswaterdragon.com for some answers. Sometimes they will eat less when shedding. Make sure your lighting is UVB (change the bulb every 6 months!) and close enough so the animal can get within 12 inches of it. Heat bulb for basking needs to be correct temperature for proper digestion. Water needs to be absolutely clean to prevent bacterial infections. Offer a variety of insects, and make sure they are dusted with correct supplements. Also, make sure your insects are properly gut loaded (fed and watered correctly) or they won't provide nutrition for your dragon. Water dragons prefer tall cages that they can climb, and if stressed have a tendency to rub their noses raw. They need very large enclosures as well. Most people end up building their own.

i owned a water dragon back a couple of years ago. He stopped eating and the reason was for a broken jaw. He had charged into his reflection which is very common for water dragons that are kept in glass cages. There was nothing our vet could do to help the water dragon so we put him down. I was told the best way to prevent this from happening to our other lizards was to place cardboard along the bottom of the cage that way blocking the reflection.
try contacting your vet and taking it in as quickly as possibly. i hope all goes well.
