This morning I found out somethings about very long time time friend that really bother me. I'm not really sure what, if anything, to do about it.
Some of it has to do with things he did after his ex-wife left a few years ago. I believe most of that is in the past now so I would probably let it go.
But I also found out that during that time he may have gotten a woman pregnant during a one night stand and he won't have anything to do with her or the child.
I also found out he treats his current girlfriend rather badly; he seems to have some serious issues with jealousy and being controlling to the point of being dominating. She wound up pregnant a while back and when he found out his initial response was to just throw her out. She is no longer pregnant - I don't know if she had an abortion or miscarried.
The reason I'm having problems with how to handle this is because I don't see him very often. We've known each other for many years, but now we only talk every few months.

I feel like I have about 4 options and I don't know which is the best.
Should I confront him about things. Let him know it's not cool how he treats his girlfriend and that he won't take responsibility for this kid?
Should I act as if I hadn't heard any of this an just continue to be his friend?
Should I just let him go as a friend given that I can't respect him at all?
Part of me feels like I should make an effort just to spend more time with him so he has a more positive influence in his life. I don't want to sound conceited, but I do feel I am a fairly grounded person who has a good sense of right and wrong and how to treat people.
